The Confession (L'aveu) is a 1970 French-Italian film directed by Costa-Gavras. It follows the story of the Czechoslovak communist Artur London, a defendant in the 1952 Slánský trial against "the leadership of the anti-state conspiracy centre". Unlike other defendants, London was not executed in the political trial and later wrote a memoir book together with his wife upon which the movie is based.
The event will be held in English. An informal discussion will follow the screening as always.
