Social Screenings: The Florida Project

In his latest movie, director Sean Baker takes us on a colorful journey through the life of kids living on the fringes of US society. The film follows a group of children growing up in poverty just outside the iconic Disney World – a place that they are never able to enter. Baker neatly treads the line between showing the sheer joy of being a kid out of school (familiar to all of us) and the tragedy of people living on the edge.

A discussion will follow the screening.
